Mission and Ministry:

I find myself wondering about the ministry of the Word of God: The mission of bringing the Teachings of Jesus Christ to the world, by those who would follow Him.

I am questioning why, when I ask them how to find Him, I am told that I must know He is my Savior and accept Him into my heart.  This is the first step.

They say He is not dead, That He lives still and always shall be there for me, waiting for me to become open that He may fill my soul with His divine presence.  Some say this alone is enough.  There are no other steps to be taken.  Some say this is but the second step, and begins a relationship with Him that will live and grow throughout my lifetime here on Earth, and extend into the next world.

The third step is the continuing life I lead then with His guidance and love, with everyday bringing Him closer.  I learn more and more about Him, and our Father in Heaven each day. As I then live for Him and learn to know of Him; He then lives for me, and knows of me and will hold me up before the Father when the time comes.

I wonder then, why, when I speak of things I have learned from Him; things that fill my whole being with joyous understanding and glory for GOD; that any of them could possibly conceive of telling me I am not a true believer.  They throw quotes from the Bible at me from authors that never knew Jesus in the flesh, but claimed to be full of His Holy spirit.

These later authors who wrote about the ministry and mission of Jesus seem only human to me.  They were fortunate enough to get their ideas published in the Bible, and that somehow makes what they have to say more important than anything the everlasting Jesus Christ can possibly say to anyone else?  What defense can these people possibly have for this belief?

I suppose this behavior is excusable for Catholics.  It was they who rose from the Roman Empire with a history of persecuting Christians.  It was they who argued as to how best organise the "Unauthorised" Earthly kingdom of GOD, and how to reinforce and defend their blasphemy against the Word of Jesus.  It was also they who decided, of the many Jewish and Christian manuscripts, which books were to be considered "Holy" and which "Heresy".  It was also the Catholics who finally decided on a version of the Bible as a single book that they would teach to be the true Holy sanctified scriptures over 600 years after Jesus ascended into Heaven.  But I wonder how other Protestant sects of Christianity can defend these things?  It makes me wonder whether they were protesting Catholicism, and splitting from that unholy institution on the basis of teachings, or simply who held the power and who collected the money?

I really wonder if the Protestants have ever stopped to consider the many wrongful teachings of that institution they despise, that they carry forth unto this day and still follow?  I know they have stripped away almost all of the rituals and performances,  But the Bible yet remains the same, and the fact that it was constructed and sanctified by the evil ones, then adopted fully by the Protestants gives them little difference at all in the long run.

If Jesus were never crucified, and He was as an immortal man, then He might live in some little house in Israel today.  He could still talk with people, and teach them the ways of the Kingdom of Heaven, and of the Father.  There might still be a Christian church, and the Holy Gospels, and ministers who would teach His words and ways to others.  The Church and clergy would be a great necessity, for there would be many who could never find the time or resources to go and see Him in person.

Since He has risen though, and ascended into Heaven, He is now able to be with each and every one of us at all times and all places in an intangible and spiritual nature.  There is no need for any church at all because of this fact.  There should be no churches as buildings, but rather as a living fellowship who are the bearers of the legacy of the Apostles.  The ministers should be teaching others to find Jesus Christ for themselves.  Teaching others what you know is a big part of being a Christian, I feel, but not so much that people learn to depend upon the teacher rather than the Master.

Why would anyone wish to learn about Jesus from someone who doesn't really know Him at all?  Why would anyone wish to learn about Jesus from someone who even knew Him personally when they could go find Him and learn from Him themselves?

It is fine and wonderful to talk and write about the teachings of the Master Jesus Christ.  Those who know of Him have an obligation to try and bring His love and life to others who do not.  They do not, however, have the obligation or even the right to assume a position between any human being and Jesus Christ.
