Symbolism of the Ten:

Each of these ten Spheres or Sephiroth has a symbolic meaning which is useful when working with numerometric studies. In addition to the meanings and symbols given in the Master Arcana table above, there are more descriptive and metaphysical attributes that each sphere is representative of.

0: Black

ZERO is the sphere of Malkuth in Hebrew. This is the Kingdom, for it is the space and place and empty volume in which all of reality occurs, and all creation is manifest. This is the first digit, but is not really a number. Zero is the holder of a space. Zero is Void and Vacuum, an Abyss of Darkness.

1: Infra-Red

ONE is the sphere of Kether. This is also called the Crown. It is symbolic of unmanifest being. It is also seen as the force which is Tao. One is Action, Power, and Origin. One is Wholeness and Unity, Will, Existence, Desire, Self, and Ego. One is the Point, undefined and undefinable.

2: Red

TWO is the sphere of Chokmah. This is also called Wisdom. It is symbolic of Balance, Polarity, and Duality. Two is the Opposition which allows Definition. Two is the Yin-Yang, Male-Female, Right-Left, Light-Darkness, and Energy-Space. Two is the Line, with Two ends and directions.

3: Orange

THREE is the sphere of Binah. This also called the Throne, and Understanding. It is symbolic of Dimension, Idealism, and Versatility. It is the source of the Triangle and Trinity. Three is symbolic of Expression, Creation, Generation, and Reproduction. Three is the Plane and Surface.

4: Yellow

FOUR is the sphere of Chesed. This is also Mercy and Majesty. It is symbolic of Stability, Solidity, Firmament, and the Elements. Four is of Mass and Matter. It is also of Material Perfection as the basis of the Tetrahedron and Square. Four is also Volume.

5: White

FIVE is the sphere of Geburah. This is also called Strength and Severity. This is the number of Humanity. It is symbolic of Uncertainty, Adventure, Confusion, and Instability. Five is the Pyramid and Pentagram. Five is the Middle of the system. It is an expression of Freedom and Liberty. Five is the Hand, and the Senses.

6: Green

SIX is the sphere of Tiphareth. This is also called Beauty and Harmony. It is symbolic of Equilibrium, Mentality, and Mind. Six is the sign of opposing trinities, Sex, Love, Peace, and Tranquility. It is the root of the Circle, forming the perfect divisions. This is also the number of the Cube of six sides, and the expression of Dimensions.

7: Blue

SEVEN is the sphere of Netzach. This is also called Victory and Power. It is symbolic of Mystery, Secrets, Mysticism, Religion, and Philosophy. It is the number of the Guardian and Controller of the natural system. Seven is the Triangle combined with the Square. This is the symbol of the omnipresence of the Creator in all of Creation.

8: Violet

EIGHT is the sphere of Hod. This is also called Splendor, Form, and Intelligence. It is symbolic of Time and Eternity, Change and Transformation. Eight is the Web of electrostatic and electromagnetic lines that run throughout the universe. The number is also of Infinity. It is the Reformer and Reducer of the system. It is both one more than, and one half of Seven.

9: Ultra-Violet

NINE is the sphere of Yesod. This is also called the Foundation. Nine is the Trinity of Trinities, the Everything of the system in opposition to the nothing of the Zero. It is the number of Energy and Power, the Infinite Fire of Love and Warmth. Nine is able to activate, deactivate, and even neutralize the other spheres and all numbers. It is symbolic of Achievement, Perfection, Completion, and Efficiency.
