Bloody Human Freeway:

The game "Freeway" was originally made for the Atari 2600 console.
Programmer David Crane is said to have gotten the idea for the game after watching a man
trying to cross the busy Lake Shore Drive in Chicago while attending the Consumer Electronic Show there.
The version which was released by Activision in 1981 had much the same concept. Strangely though, even in America,
this was considered somewhat politically incorrect at the time, or possibly just socially irresponsible.
The "Bloody Human" version was never released on a game cartridge. Instead of a human being, the player character
was represented as a yellow chicken. Instead of being squashed when hit by a car, the chicken simply got knocked
back a lane or two.
There was no death and thus no need for player "lives". The only point to the game was to see how many times you
could get your chicken across before a timer ran out. The only way it could ever offer more than 10 seconds of
entertainment value was to allow 2 people to play at the same time.
Hopefully, this remake will restore the game to more closely resemble what the author had intended it to be.
This game should run on any version of Windows.
