Sigma Team Games
All Sigma Team games can be downloaded from their Offical Website.
There used to be separate links for all the Sigma Team games I have played and reviewed, but the current status (2009) of the company has given me reason for this disclaimer page.
Each and every one of the action games created by this company are awesome fun, and well worth the reasonable price they ask for them. It is true that the games are all pretty much the same brainless entertainment, but this page is not at all to complain about the company, or the creative and talented people responsible for the games.
This is about the Official Sigma Team Forums, which used to be a good place to visit, exchange ideas, tips, comments, suggestions, and almost always find the answer to your questions. Lately, however, Sigma Team has somehow decided to put their English language forum under the inept and idiotic control of a non-English speaking moderator. I suppose we should be thankful that a Russian company has an English forum at all, but in this case, they would be better off without one.
This ignorant, clueless, obnoxious, (and likely at least mildly retarded) moderator goes by the nickname of ve2vlc, and he has let the power go to his head. (Not difficult in his case. Show him that he has the power to operate the zipper of his own pants and he would imagine himself to be Napoleon). The result of this is a forum where anything the moderator doesn't understand (which is most everything) or anything he deems to be offensive or irrelevent (most anything else) is locked, moved, and/or deleted from what he considers to be his forum.
On top of this problem, some of the Sigma Team games were being sold through Steam. Steam does not offer any support for these games, and any question posted at the official Sigma Team forums will be immediately deleted by ve2vlc. The word "Steam" is even filtered so as to never appear on the website.
Here are some comments posted at the Steam Users' Forums as an example:
"That ve2vlc guy, he might be a site admin but the way he types and talk AND make quite a lot of useless threads makes me believe he is not part of the team. But rather look after the site which is rather frightening.
"Wtf kind of immature admins do they have over there? He then locked the thread. This company looks like a bunch of jackasses now.
"I'm usually never one to respect authority and praise admins, but godbless that the steam forums admins aren't like that.
"Wow, his English is also totally terrible. He can't even differ between "there" and "their"."
"What is important is that we are all potential customers and fans of AS2 and the Sigma Team games. The behavior of ve2vlc is having a very negative impact on the Sigma Team's reputation. If I were in the Sigma Team's shoes I would not want potential customer's doing a search on AS2 information on google or reading forum posts about the game and find the comments that have been make by ve2vlc. Because he hold the title of moderator/admin on the official website of the Sigma Team, it makes it seem as if he has the tacit approval of the Sigma Team to make such inapproriate remarks."
"I was shocked to find out that this is an official forum for the Sigma Team. When you visit here you are confronted by the repeated postings of a single person who has literally plastered himself all over the forum. And to make matters worse, he is a moderator and has no self control whatsoever. He is an epic failure as a moderator and has literally destoyed the the Official Sigma Team website. I am certain that he has driven nearly ever single solitary potential new forum member away from this site. He is the epitome of the poison pen."
"That ve2lc is to blame, a weird freak admin runamuck."
"That guy is a complete loony, but when the latest thread was removed, the only user from the administrator group who had been online since the thread was started, was the 'admin' user."
"I guess there are more than one completely insane person over at Sigma Team."
"Look at the dates of the recent replies though...The Sigma-Team forum is almost the same way. The forum looks more active than it is because like 70% of the posts are from ve2vlc."
